He was born in 1965 in Rize. He completed his primary and secondary education in Maltepe, Istanbul. In 1990, he completed his higher education at Istanbul University, Department of Engineering, Geophysical Engineering. Throughout his education life, he has been actively involved in political studies in various non-governmental organizations. In 1991, he continued his career as an engineer in the Ministry of Public Works and Housing after short-term military service. His business life, started in the public sector, continues in the private sector since 1993  with the establishment of the Ekşioğlu Group of Companies. Project and consultancy services in the field of earth sciences, architecture and engineering; office centers, villas, housing construction in the construction area, works are continuing these activities uninterruptedly. He has done academic studies regarding political science in Bogazici University Institute of Environmental Sciences and Bahçeşehir University.
